DESIGN ELEMENTS
The project is about a new family restaurant situated in the vibrant neighborhood of Kolonos, Athens. The deisgn concept for the branding idenity that was asked to be created draws inspiration from the rough urban landscape that defines the streets of the region. Channeling the raw energy of graffiti-laden alleyways and neon-lit signage, the design concept evokes an industrial charm with a contemporary style.
Owned by two brothers, the restaurant pays homage to their close-knit bond and the camaraderie of family-run business, creating a sense of community akin to a tight-knit mob or mafia family.
Retro neon signs fills the interior enhancing the urban atmosphere.A Â vibrant blue corner accents the bar area, commanding attention amidst the dimly lit ambiance.
Corten steel, with its rugged aesthetic, covers the vertical surfaces of the walls, creating a juxtaposition of textures against decorative grey bricks that adorn the exterior facade.
The seating area takes cues from the bustling streets of New York City, surrounded by the bustling energy of the bar and food preparation area, reminiscent of street food trucks.
Grey rectangular tiles cover the floor, mirroring the paved surfaces of urban streets, further immersing guests in the restaurant's urban-inspired ambiance
In this family restaurant, the fusion of urban grit and familial warmth creates an unforgettable dining experience that resonates with the soul of Kolonos, inviting guests to become part of the restaurant's vibrant tapestry of stories and flavours.
