DESIGN ELEMENTS

La Pasteria is a leading Italian cuisine restaurant with 15 venues across Greece. It was founded in 1995 and belongs to the Vivartia conglomerate.

The main objective was to create a new architectural identity and  branding by creating a visually stimulating environment, enriching the dining experience of the customers,  that would spread to all 15 restaurants of the existing chain.

The new architectural concept is a mix of classic Italian trattoria and contemporary urban restaurant-bar. The interior exudes warmth with earthy tones that create a cosy atmosphere. Minimalist lines enhance the space, offering a sense of simplicity and sophistication.

The entire space is characterized by chromatic harmony that balances elements of high contrast, featuring striking combinations of black and white alongside with vivid colours. This interplay add a modern edge, infusing  the space with energy and visual interest.

Retro decorations and metallic details with bronze and black finishes alongside with geometric lighting fixtures add charm to the modern

Upon entering the restaurant, “La Groceria”, a playful wall with shelves and boxes full of premium quality Italian products available for sale, welcomes the visitor. A metal divider with an integrated map of Italy displaying each product’s place of origin clearly states the affinity of the kitchen to the authentic Italian recipes offered. The bar area, with dark colors and black and white checkered tiles, is perceived as a distinct room nested inside the restaurant space.

At the back, the open kitchen becomes a dynamic focal point, transforming the act of dinning  into a visually engaging event by revealing the chef’s artistry to the customers. The kitchen with its sleek design and state-of-the-art equipment, is seamlessly integrated into the dinning area.

The stores have been widely published in architectural magazines all over the world.
